Advanced Question Types

The QSM Advanced Question Types Addon is a powerful tool for educators and assessment creators to add more variety and complexity to their quizzes and tests. This add-on includes three advanced question types: the Matching Pairs Question Type, the Radio Grid Question Type, and the Checkbox Grid Question Type.

Matching Pairs

The Matching Pairs Question Type is a great way to test students’ understanding of relationships and connections between different concepts. In this question type, students are presented with a list of items on the left and a list of items on the right, and they must match the items on the left to the correct items on the right. This question type is great for testing vocabulary, historical events and figures, or scientific concepts.

Radio Grid

The Radio Grid Question Type is a multiple-choice question type where students are presented with a grid of options, and they must choose one option from each row to create their answer. Checkbox Grid

The Checkbox Grid Question Type is similar to the Radio Grid Question Type, but instead of choosing only one option from each row, students can choose multiple options from each row. This question type is great for testing students’ understanding of multiple facets of a concept or for assessing their ability to analyze and evaluate different options in more depth.

Audio Question Type

The Audio Question Type allows students to record their own voice as the answer to a question. Instead of typing a response, students record and submit a spoken answer directly within the quiz. This question type is ideal for educators who want to assess verbal communication alongside written knowledge.

This question type is great for language learning assessments, oral comprehension tests, pronunciation practice, or any scenario where a spoken response gives a more accurate measure of a student’s understanding than text alone.

Sequence Question Type

The Sequence Question Type is an interactive question format where quiz takers are presented with a list of items and must arrange them in the correct order by dragging and dropping each item into place. This question type makes it easy to test whether students understand how steps, events, or concepts follow one another.

This question type is great for testing knowledge of historical timelines, step-by-step processes, scientific procedures, or any topic where the correct order of items matters.
