QSM Templates make it easy to create email pages and result pages without starting from scratch. Instead of designing everything manually, you can choose from pre-built templates that provide a structured layout.
These templates are fully customizable, allowing you to modify colors, text, and template variables to match your needs. This feature helps you save time while ensuring that your pages look professional and well-organized.
1. Setting Up an Email Page Using QSM Templates
Customize the Email Page with a template
Create or edit a quiz and navigate to the Email tab.
If you need guidance on setting up the email page using the default template, refer to this documentation: Setting Up Emails
By default, an email template is already displayed. To use QSM templates in that case:
- Click on the three dots on the right side of the email template box.
- Select “Change Template” from the options.
If you’re adding a new email, you’ll have the option to choose between:
- Starting with a template or Using the default template
- Click “Start With A Template” to open the QSM Templates pop-up box.
A pop-up box will appear, displaying all pre-built QSM templates. You can preview each template before selecting one.
To apply a template to your email page, click “Insert”. The template will be added to your email, and you can then customize the message, colors, and style, as well as add template variables as needed.
Saving and Reusing Customized Templates
Once you’ve customized an email template, you can save it for future use. To save the email template in your list of “My Templates:”
- Click on the “Add Template” button.
- Select “New”, enter a template name, and save it.
To use a saved template for another email page, click on “Change Template”. Then, navigate to “My Templates” and select the template you have saved.
Replacing a Saved Template with an Updated Version
If you’ve modified a saved template and want to override it with the updated version:
- Click on “Add Template”
- Select “Replace”
- Choose the template you want to replace with the updated version.
- Once replaced, whenever you use that template, you’ll get the latest version with the new updates.
Let’s say, you saved an email template named “GK Quiz”. This template includes a congratulatory message and a personalized greeting using template variables. However, you update the template with a new message and style, so instead of creating a new template, you can replace the existing “GK Quiz” template with the updated version.
To do this, click “Add Template”, select “Replace”, and choose “GK Quiz” from your saved templates. Now, whenever you select the “GK Quiz” template for an email page, it will add the updated one.
2. Setting Up a Result Page Using Templates
Setting up a result page using QSM Templates follows a similar process to setting up an email page with templates. Instead of designing a result page from scratch, you can choose from pre-built templates and customize them as needed.
Navigate to the Results Pages tab.
Unlike the email page, there is no default template displayed. Instead, you will see a result page box where you get to choose whether you want to create a result page or redirect users to an external URL
If you want to create a result page using the default method, refer to this documentation: Setting Up Results Pages
To use a QSM template, click on “Start With a Template”, which will open the QSM Templates pop-up box.
Click “Insert” to add a template to your result page.
Similar to the email templates, you can save a customized result page template by clicking “Add Template”, selecting “New”, naming the template, and saving it.
If you later update a saved template and want to replace it with the new version, click “Add Template”, choose “Replace”, and select the template you want to update.
