  1. Hallo Frank,

We are using your plugin for a client in Spain. We are lucky about the many options. Our client means that for a better user experience and sales strategies we should let users select at frond end multiple categories (check box or marks) for generate quizzes. But his budget is very small.
I think we can use this input for build an addon and sell to your audience. Or may is better for us when you can help us to extend the plugin. How much will cost?
    Best Regards,
    Jesus

    1. Greetings Jesus!

This sounds like an interesting idea. We are currently looking for 3rd party developers who would like to create addons. If you would like to create the addon and submit it our store, feel free to use the contact form to reach out to us and we can discuss the options available.

  2. I might be interested in making a php based 3rd party addon.
Where can I get programming documentation for classes, functions, syntax, hooks, and how to call my addon etc. from quiz and survey master? Do you have some kind of “kit” or “area” for developers?

    1. Hey Scott. I would be more than happy to help you get started. What kind of addon are you interested in making? I have started making a “boiler plate” but it is not finished yet. I have created a few pages of the documentation for developers over on the documentation page (http://quizandsurveymaster.com/documentation/) but it also is not finished yet. If you let me know what you are interested in working on, I can work on building out the relevant documentation today and tomorrow for you.

  3. Frank,
I think the documentation is great. However, my plans involved using quiz and survey master more for surveys and I wanted to make some “calculated template variables.” (similar to calculated fields on some forms) Specifically, I want to be able to do calculations on answer point values for particular questions for a single user as opposed to all the users. For example to be able to sum, subtract, multiply, or divide answer point values (the sum of point values for questions 1, 3, and 10) I was not sure this could be accomplished best with your “creating your own template variables” or by making an addon. Not wanting to “re-invent the wheel” I was not sure if you already had some pre-defined functions or hooks.

    1. For something like that, I would suggest using the variable system that I have created. You can do so either in a standalone addon or putting the code into your theme’s functions.php file if you are using a child theme.

The question ID will probably be the one item that I need to implement before you can easily do this. I’ll get that built into the next update for you. Let me know if there are any other components or functions that you need built.

  4. Sorry frank,
I did not see until now an email you sent me that answered part of my question which involves the question’s ID’s are not currently passed into the variables system. Thanks that is important to know.
